In a momentous event held at Kakamega Primary School saw the closure of the 7th edition of CAF D Coaching Course. The 10-day course, overseen by Chairman Eng. Allan Muhando Wiraka, drew participants from across the region and beyond, creating a diverse and enriching learning environment.

As Chairman Allan closed the course, he imparted words of wisdom, urging the coaches to remain steadfast and committed to their coaching journey. This marked a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts of KEFWA to advocate for the rights and welfare of Kenyan footballers.

The course not only ran through the festive season but also managed to capture the attention and dedication of football enthusiasts keen on enhancing their coaching skills. Chairman Allan encouraged the graduands to proudly raise the flag of Kakamega and the country at large and stay active in football, setting the stage for future advancements, with CAF C coaching on the horizon.

In an interview with the media, KEFWA member and Women And Development Against Distress In Africa(WADADIA) Akinyi, who was among the coaches, emphasized the importance of participating in such courses. She expressed gratitude to KEFWA for its commitment to empowering members with valuable skills that extend beyond the football field.

“During the 10-day course,we the participants have learned about the basics of football coaching, including organizing and leading training sessions, player development and match preparation. We look forward to developing their skills of our members and knowledge in football coaching through this valuable training, which will help them achieve success both on and off the field,” noted Akinyi.
