According to Makori, the voting will be more similar to the KEFWA Gala Awards and the KEFWA Monthly Awards where they give an opportunity for players themselves to determine the winners.

“Of course this is a players for players award. It is not new to our members because they have done it before, including in our KEFWA Gala Awards and the KEFWA Monthly Awards where we award best players in the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL). We are looking forward to a larger voter turnout this time around and I urge our Player Development Managers (PDMs) to help us run this smoothly by ensuring maximum voting of players for clubs they are in,” Makori added.

Footballers will pick three players who, in their opinion, were the most outstanding in each of the following positions: goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards.

The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards with the most votes in their position make it into the World 11.The 11th spot is assigned to the outfield player with the next highest number of votes.
