KEFWA Unveils Strategic Partnership with New Hera Interconnect and Footballer Life to Empower Kenyan Footballers

Nairobi, Kenya — The Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA) yesterday announced a landmark partnership with New Hera International and Footballer Life, marking a significant step towards empowering Kenyan footballers both on and off the pitch.

The event, attended by KEFWA President James Situma, Vice President Terry Ouko, and Secretary General Dan Makori, brought together representatives from clubs across the country who witnessed the unveiling of this transformative collaboration.

Representing the partners were Marti Torres from Footballer Life and Simiyu from New Hera International. The two took the opportunity to donate footballs to club representatives as a gesture of commitment to grassroots development. They also led the onboarding of players and coaches onto the Footballer Life platform — a digital hub designed to connect footballers, coaches, and academies to a global network of opportunities.

Through this partnership:

Footballer Life will provide a comprehensive digital ecosystem where players can showcase their talent, access educational tools, and connect with verified global opportunities.

New Hera International will support sports management, career development, and educational and job pathways for athletes transitioning beyond the pitch.

KEFWA President James Situma hailed the collaboration as “a game-changer for Kenyan footballers,” emphasizing that “our mission has always been to secure the welfare and growth of players, and this partnership opens new doors to global exposure, empowerment, and opportunity.”

The initiative underscores KEFWA’s commitment to safeguarding player welfare while creating a sustainable ecosystem that nurtures both professional and personal growth for footballers in Kenya.
