FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN KENYA WELCOMED TO FURTHER THEIR STUDIES COURTESY OF FIFPRO AND HBO ACADEMY EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP.

Dubbed “Supporting Player’s Development Beyond Football”, the degree will be a four-year, part-time undergraduate bachelor’s Business & Innovation programme, which will see successful applicants study while continuing their careers.

According to KEFWA Vice President and FIFPRO Africa Board Member Terry Ouko, this will be a vital opportunity for KEFWA members, especially international professionals, to make hay while the sun shines by grabbing the opportunity.

“This is a very important opportunity for our members who have long awaited to further their studies, especially internationally. Just like our scholarship partnerships with institutions like Zetech University, the course is tailor-made to suit active players as classes are timetabled one fixed evening per week, and they will participate in virtual classroom lessons” noted Terry.

“During this course, players will develop the skills and theoretical knowledge they need to operate successfully as a manager or independent entrepreneur in a dynamic environment. They will gain insight into market developments and be able to translate into potential new products and/or services within their organization or business,” noted FIFPRO in their statement.

Furthermore, they will be trained to develop personal skills such as leadership, collaboration, analysis, and decisiveness.
