KOMULLO TWINS: The Story of Gaspo Women Fc and Harambee Starlets Players Balancing Football and Music

Currently plying their trade with Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) side Gatundu Sports Women Fc (GASPO), TheKomulloTwins Vivian Akinyi (goalkeeper) and Sharon Aluoch (defender) are an inspiration story in the sports and music industry in Kenya.

Reflecting back on their journey to professional football, they owe their prowess to their elder brother Brycal Omondi, who laid their foundation as academy players while growing up in Mathare.

They joined Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA), one of the most renowned academies that has nurtured legends. Currently competing for the league tittle with Gaspo, the twins are also musicians.

Several songs on their YouTube channel among them ‘Ásante’, ‘Mwambie’, ‘Mwaminifu’, ‘Nisamehe’ and ‘Utukuzwe are only a testament of what passion can lift our souls.

Some of their key moments include meeting former Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta, and also doing a live performance doing the KEFWA Gala Awards.
