Kenyan Footballers Graduate After Successfully Completing FIFA/FKF Coaching Course Training and Licensing

It was all pomp and colour on Friday as KEFWA members including both former and active professionals graduated after completing their FIFA/FKF coaching course held in Nairobi.

The training brought together players and coaches from different walks of the nation, after they showed interest to be empowered educationally courtesy of the capacity building programs under the Education Department.

Some of the renowned names who were licensed to coach include former AFC Leopards midfielder Benard Mang’oli, former Shabana Fc maestro Victor Ashinga, Posta Rangers Fc forward Timothy Otieno, Juliet Andibo (Thika Queens), Vincent Odongo (Naivas Fc), and Wilson Anekeya among others.

“I am really grateful to be part of this auspicious initiative. We had a very informative time in class with our instructors and we can celebrate. I also appreciate KEFWA for this opportunity and they are really doing a good job in preparing their members for life after football,” said Timothy Otieno.

On her side, Juliet Andibo from Thika Queens was optimistic that she will now be able to engage with grassroot talents more professionally.

“I am an active player but this coaching course has been a brainstormer. There is much in football that yet even as a player you cannot know, and gaining this certification now lifts my spirit to continue uplifting the upcoming talents at grassroots level,” she noted.
